Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update - January 2021
Lockdown – January 2021
we are open, in practice and here to help
The College of Optometrists confirmed in December 2020 that opticians practices in England working under lockdown restrictions should continue to comply with the Amber Phase of their guidance and provide a full range of services to NHS and Private patients on a needs/symptoms-led basis, whilst complying with the relevant guidance on social distancing and infection control measures.
We are open and in practice for all your eye care needs operating in this Amber Phase STRICTLY BY APPOINTMENT
If you have symptoms associated with coronavirus including a new continuous cough and/or a high temperature and/or a loss of or change in your normal sense of smell or taste you are advised to stay at home for 7 days. www.nhs.uk/coronavirus
Your health and safety is our priority and we are taking the following steps to keep us all safe.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
All team members will be wearing appropriate PPE and safety screens and equipment modifications will be in place making our practice a very safe environment for your essential and urgent eye care.
Hand sanitiser stations are available in the practice for all team members and patients to use.
We would ask that all patients attend the practice without gloves and use the hand sanitiser on entering and leaving the premises. We would encourage you to wear a face covering if possible.
The practice will be kept safe with the deep cleaning of all surfaces and equipment.
In between patients the consulting room equipment and surfaces will be thoroughly cleansed.
Appointments will be further spaced out to limit the number of patients in the practice and allow for cleaning to take place in between patients.
We encourage the use of card payments to reduce the handling of cash.
The card terminal will be cleansed after each transaction.
In some circumstances it may be sensible for us to conduct a pre-assessment consultation before you visit us saving on the time you spend in the practice.
All spectacle frames and samples will be sanitised after being handled.
We look forward to working with you to provide the very best eye care in the safest and most convenient way.
Being a fully independent practice and not part of a chain is very important to us as it gives us the freedom to give you the very best advice and widest possible choice of products without compromise.
With a modern practice, fitted with leading-edge hi-tech ophthalmic equipment, ethos and values based on quality, service and patient care – we will always aim to exceed your expectations and be there whenever and whatever you need.
